Day 1  Arrival + Casablanca

Arrive into Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport (CMN). Make your way into the city and immerse yourself in Morocco’s busiest metropolis. Visit the old city of Casablanca or fight off jetlag in one of Casablanca’s many restaurants, bars, or cafes.

Day 2  Casablanca + Rabat

Head to Hassan II Mosque, located on the ocean (literally).  Stroll the spectacular courtyard and marvel at the one of the world’s greatest architectural masterpieces.  After lunch, head north to Rabat (approximately 1 hour).  Visit the famous Chellah necropolis before sunset and enjoy the evening in Morocco’s administrative and government capital.

Day 3  Rabat + Fez

After breakfast explore Rabat’s picturesque medina and wander through the city’s quaint souq. From Rabat, you will leave the coast and head east toward the Atlas Mountains to one of Morocco’s most precious jewels—Fez.

Day 4  Fez

Get lost in the dizzying maze of Fez’s medina—a UNESCO World Heritage site and the world’s largest urban area inaccessible by car. Visit the famous leather tanneries, get your shopping fix in, and be sure to catch the panoramic view from one of the hundreds of rooftop terraces.

Day 5   Fez + Tangier

After lunch, begin your journey north to Tangier (approximately 5 hours). Arrive in Tangier in the early evening, check into your hotel, and head to dinner at one of Tangier’s many diverse restaurants.

Day 6  Tangier

Explore the picturesque medina of Tangier—the scene of multiple Hollywood movies—stroll the corniche along the Mediterranean, or trace the footsteps of countless artists, writers, and musicians who found their inspiration in Tangier’s idyllic setting.

Day 7   Tangier

Soak up the Mediterranean breeze from one of the many cafes, rooftop terraces, or vistas in the city or plan a visit to the fortress, one of the museums, or one of several historical sites Tangier has to offer. Catch a movie at Cinema Rif or sip coffee from one of the hundreds of outdoor cafes that line the streets of Tangier’s medina and Ville Nouvelle.

Day 8   Departure

If time permits, wrap up any last minute shopping needs or mint tea fixes, and then head to the airport for your departure back home.

Day 1  Arrival + Tangier

Arrive into Tangier Ibn Battouta International Airport (TNG).  Make your way to the city and start fighting off jetlag with Moroccan mint tea, local cuisine, and a nice ocean breeze.

Day 2  Tangier + Chefchaouen

After breakfast, transport to Chefchaouen (approximately 1.5 hours). Check into your accommodation and explore one of Morocco’s most picturesque medinas—known as “The Blue City”.

Day 3  Chefchaouen

Spend the day wandering the maze like medina of Chefchaouen. For the fit among you, venture outside the medina for a breathtaking hike up the Rif Mountains.

Day 4  Chefchaouen + Tangier

After breakfast, transport back to Tangier (approximately 1.5 hours). Explore the picturesque medina of Tangier—the scene of multiple Hollywood movies—stroll the corniche along the Mediterranean, or trace the footsteps of countless artists, writers, and musicians who found their inspiration in Tangier’s idyllic setting.

Day 5  Tangier

Soak up the Mediterranean breeze from one of the many cafes, rooftop terraces, or vistas in the city or plan a visit to the fortress, one of the museums, or one of several historical sites Tangier has to offer. Catch a movie at Cinema Rif or sip coffee from one of the hundreds of outdoor cafes that line the streets of Tangier’s medina and Ville Nouvelle ('new city').

Day 1  Arrival & Marrakech

Arrive into Marrakech Menara International Airport (RAK). Transfer to your hotel in Marrakech and get settled in.  Depending on your arrival time, head to Jemma al Fna at sunset and soak up Morocco’s most important square. Snake charmers, musicians, performers, and street vendors guarantee a sensory experience!

Day 2  Marrakech

After a relaxing breakfast, lose yourself in Marrakech’s world famous medina, the largest Berber marketplace in all of Morocco. You will find a handful of souqs (markets) including those selling spices, carpets, carpentry, jewelry, pottery, lanterns, leather, and more. In the afternoon, escape the desert sun by visiting Jardin Majorelle – a garden oasis in the middle of bustling Marrakech. Designed by Jacques Majorelle over 40 years, Jardin Majorelle is a must-visit and a well sought after break from the craziness that is Marrakech.

Day 3  Marrakech

Enjoy your final day in Marrakech by doing some shopping or by visiting one of the many historical sights of the city including the Koutobia Mosque & Minaret (one of the oldest in the country), Ben Youssef Madrasa, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, or the Royal Palace of Marrakech.  If you’re seeking more adventure, experience Marrakech by taking a hot air balloon ride over the city at dusk.  For those wanting to relax, check out one of the many posh oasis resorts, “beach clubs”, or an unforgettable hammam experience where massages, body scrubs, treatments, or steam rooms are another way to break away from the heat.

Day 4  Casablanca

After breakfast, depart for Casablanca (approximately 3 hours). Arrive in Casablanca in the early afternoon and check into your hotel. Spend the afternoon strolling the spectacular courtyard and marveling at one of the world’s greatest architectural masterpieces—Hassan II Mosque. The mosque is located overlooking the ocean and is Casablanca’s most iconic symbol.

Day 5  Casablanca + Rabat

DAY 4  Atlas Mountains + Ourzazate

After breakfast, head east toward the Atlas Mountains and begin the scenic journey toward the Sahara. If time permits, take a breather at one of the many vistas overlooking one of the beautiful valleys.  You’ll arrive into Ourzazate (pronounced "war-za-zet") in the afternoon for a late lunch. Ourzazate is strategically situated at the crossroads of major routes heading north, south, east, and west. The city has served as a key trading post in both ancient and modern times and is predominately populated by Berber people. Spend your afternoon quad bike riding, visiting the famous film studio that produced Lawrence of Arabia, Alexander the Great, the Last Temptation of Christ, and many other Hollywood films, or lounging by the pool.

DAY 5  Desert Villages + Sahara Dunes

In the morning you’ll head north along the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs, passing through village after village, each with their own Kasbah—or fortress. Just as the desert heat begins to retire, you’ll arrive in Merzouga where camels will be waiting to take you across the dunes. Upon arrival at your Berber campsite, a traditional dinner will be prepared for you, served with mint tea, and followed by a Berber performance under the stars.  You will spend the night gazing at millions of stars surrounded by massive dunes.

DAY 6  ATLAS MOUNTAINS + FEZ

You’ll be woken up just before sunrise and watch the dunes go from purple, pink, and red to a bright orange within minutes.  You’ll travel back by camel to “home base” where you will have a room to shower, change, and freshen up.  Breakfast will be served before you hit the road back west.   The scenic drive to Fez is about 450km and will take approximately 6.5 hours.  Stop for lunch at Midelt—a small market town about half way between Merzouga and Fez at the base of the Atlas Mountains, or in Ifrane—a mountain town tourist hotspot for Moroccans who come to experience their own version of a relocated French-Switzerland.  You’ll arrive around nightfall and check in to your hotel before grabbing dinner and retiring after a long journey through the desert.

DAY 7  FEZ
